    That's about 2 minutes from my house. Cop cars and helicopters all over.

    I go there all the time.

    Wife and I actually heard the shots now that I think about it. Wife asked what that was and I said it was probably a neighbor using a hammer. Damn this is ****ed up.

    HCSO:
    At 20:21 hrs, a deputy was at the corner of West Rd and Telge and was gassing his vehicle after working an incident. He was at the pump. A male suspect came up behind and shot him multiple times. He fell to the ground and the suspect continued over to him and shot him multiple times as he laid on the ground.

    Dark red or maroon fleet size truck (Ford Ranger). Suspect went west on West Rd. Deputy passed away. Actively searching for the suspect.

    Deputy is a 10-year veteran.

    Male suspect, dark complected, 5'10 to 6'0, short hair, fade cut, white tee-shirt and red shorts. Guessed to be 20-25 year old.

    He walked up behind the deputy and shot him. No apparent reason at all. Officer in full uniform, on duty, just getting gas.

    What a sad and horrible thing. Definitely feel awful for the family. You know they've worried about the danger involved in law enforcement and now they are dealing with the absolute worst of it.

    I don't understand their hesitation to release more info...is it not a good idea to check the tape now? They wouldn't even clarify the suspects race/description.

    Well they said that..but then theu basically backed off the description in the conference...but it looks like they just released images
