Another good article on Martes. His curve is ridiculous, watch the video. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="https://twitter.com/hudsonbelinsky">@hudsonbelinsky</a> with a great breakdown of why Frances Martes is on the cusp for the <a href="https://twitter.com/astros">@astros</a> <a href="http://t.co/eGJxnyMqqS">http://t.co/eGJxnyMqqS</a> <a href="http://t.co/qdBUke1scj">pic.twitter.com/qdBUke1scj</a></p>— Baseball America (@BaseballAmerica) <a href="https://twitter.com/BaseballAmerica/status/637351717550559232">August 28, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Rogelio Armenteros had a fantastic Quad Cities debut: 5 IP, H, BB, 9 K Armenteros is a Cuban defector who signed with the Astros in December and spent much of this season in Tri-City.

We'll Periscope Ashe Russell vs. Kyle Tucker and Daz Cameron What he hell does that mean? That almost sounds like some sort of degenerate porno title.
Alex Bregman continues to be on fire. 2 more hits tonight, including a triple, and he's now on a 14-game hitting streak. He has a hit in 23 of his last 24 contests.
Reed is really gonna make it hard on the team to not bring him up in September. He is doing a great job of putting himself in position to be the starting first baseman next year.
I agree with him being a strong candidate to be out 1st baseman next year. He won't start the year there, but he could get called up very early (after they get the extra year of service time) and hopefully keeps the job for the foreseeable future. He won't be called up this year. If the Astros really think he could help, they would call him up ASAP, they wouldn't wait until rosters expand. Bregman is in a full on tear. 4-6 tonight, and he's now slashing .320/.368/.467. Since August 2nd, he's hitting .390, with an OPS over 1.000. If we hold onto him, he could be ready early next year as well.
Eh, first year of pro ball, wouldn't read too much into it. Adam Everett had 9 in 21 games and his glove turned out ok.
Reed & White have both earned a shot next year. It will be interesting to see what Luhnow does this offseason with so many players for so few spots.
