Against a very good team no less. And one they're chasing for home field advantage in the playoffs. If only they could've loaned themselves a couple runs from last night for the first game of the series.
Glass half full: A Ranger win gets us closer to home field advantage in round one over TOR... a Ranger loss gets us closer to an outright Division Championship. Saul Goodman
The way Feldman is pitching many teams are going to look for him this offseason and could be traded if we sign Kazmir Teams in need of starters: San Francisco, Oakland, twins, ect
We've actually gone on pretty bad losing streaks after reaching it both times. Third time's the charm!
After Gattis hit the second dinger, Conger set up a hand full of seeds and Gattis put his fist down into them grinding them. lol Is that new? Is his nickname "nut grinder" or "seed smasher" or:..? That was too funny!
Before the season if you had told me Gattis and Carter would both have an OPS under .700 in August, and that Springer and Lowrie would both miss half the year, you would have thought this season would have been a disaster. Carter still sucks, but Gattis has been good the last 10 days or so. He's gotten that OPS back up to .740, hopefully it's the start of a strong finish for him. Has an outside shot at a 30/100 season.
I really dislike the Yankees and all the media darling attention they get. It's one reason I loved the Basketball Playoff game where JVG was talking on air about how the Yankees wish they were as good as the Astros. The Rangers and Angels losing is a bonus. As long as the Astros keep winning that's the best thing.
With all the H2H matchups remaining, it's better if Texas beats Toronto. We can control winning the division (beating Texas) more than stopping the Blue Jays from winning theirs. It's ideal for us to avoid TOR in the First Round as the Yankees are a better matchup. We're capable of beating anyone.... just saying ideally.
Combine that with the fact that NYY/TOR play each other quite a few more times so that is what their division is going to come down to.
