I am not sure about mediocre players in the PL but if they are effective they are probably worth the money. I am just not sure Son is the right guy for Tottenham, they have barely scored goals so far. I think Kane is still waiting for his first one this season? Gareth Bale is one name that I can think of who played way better in the PL than La Liga.

But Wolfsburg without De Bruyne will fail, Mönchengladbach is very unexperienced, so next to Bayern I think Leverkusen has the best chances to survive the group stage. Let's see what the draw brings, the new system could be good for some joke groups. Leverkusen's Julian Brandt looks really good for a 19 year old.

Tough. He's been beyond awful in the Premier League so far. But, confidence does a lot for strikers. He played much better once Herrera moved into the spot behind him rather than Januzaj. He needs a player there that can actually provide service rather than someone like Januzaj who just crowds the same spaces as he does.
I should know. I have especially stuck by his side during World Cups, he is especially bad in those. You could always say he was good in the PL but in the last two years he is getting older and not everything is Van Gaal's fault for not playing him in his natural position bla bla. I do not like Van Gaal that much either and his Vootbal approach.
