Right now, they are about an average offense... with Springer, they're better than average.

Feldman, Fiers, & McHugh have been trying to prove they deserve their spots in the rotation. Amazing how well all 3 have been doing with McCullers expected to take one of their spots in the rotation.

Right now, this is a bad offense, Springer can bring them to average hopefully.

    Yep, it's all situational.

bunting with runners on 1st and 2nd to move them over is much better than possibly grounding into a DP.

No it isn't. Especially when you have a hitter up who has a track record of being a productive bat (I don't care how bad he has been in the last month).

I like giving Gattis a drawn in infield. Gomez probably doesn't hit into a DP though, so I wouldn't bunt just to avoid the DP there.

Lost in all this is that if Gattis does his job and doesn't take a candyass swing at that middle of the plate fastball, Stros are up at least 1-0.

You just answered my question for me. Gomez has been terrible at the plate. I'd rather Gattis with an rbi chance than Gomez swinging away.

This is what happens when you cannot convert in multiple opportunities with RISP. You lose games.

I felt like Beltran struck out looking but the ump called the pitch a ball. And now we're in trouble. :/
