Want to reiterate this. The sacrifice bunt is so dumb.

And that, with this current Astros team, is why I don't like them giving up an out.

Especially in front of Gattis and Valbuena. The middle of this lineup is a damn joke. Smh.

It was Carlos Gomez. He was giving one up anyway.

Surprised Correa didn't go home, but they probably would have had him.

You don't bunt as Gattis is not hitting. Right now that guy has been a major disappointment

It's the smart thing to do unless it's this offense.

While it was a mistake on someone's part, they were still going to have 2 outs and a runner on 3rd. If it was Correa's mistake, then they still would have had 1st and 3rd - assuming the Yankees executed the play properly.

the bunt by gomez was fine. thats why we traded for gattis, to drive in runs. he leads the team in rbi's. the baserunning by rasmus was stupid.

Just like Correa had just a little bit of awareness of where the ball was hit... and he abruptly stopped/retreated, I'd like the same out of the runner even closer to where the ball is hit.

Can't just be blind robots out there on the basepaths.

I'd rather have 2 outs and runners at 2nd/3rd... then what ended up happening.

No it is never the smart thing to do unless your pitcher is hitting. %s play out to where you are more likely to score with 2nd and no outs versus 3rd and one out (think it is 45% to 43%).

Geez Qualls and Feldman have been lights out since coming off the DL. Can we place Gattis or Carter on the DL for a stint and hope they return as upgraded versions of themselves??

Not really the smart thing to do in most offenses... unless you need just one run to win the game.

If this team was just an average offense, I feel they would be favorites to win it all because of the great starting pitching. Right now, the starters have no room for error.
