I'm good with that, but surprisingly there is nothing about that anywhere on the internet. So basically anyone on the 40 man is eligible, and if someone on the 40-man gets injured they can be replaced by anyone in the organization as long as that person is either on the 40 man or moved to the 40-man prior to the replacing.
Man Angels getting destroyed. Looks like they've gone on a pretty bad slump of their own. I'm not worried about the Rangers for some reason. I think they're a mediocre team and will hit their own slump soon.
Great win. I'll admit I went away the last few years and lost interest, but I'm fully back on the bandwagon. This team is so damn fun to watch, which is something I rarely say about a baseball team.
Agreed - I stopped watching the Astros when we traded away Berkman & Oswalt, and only in the last 2 years did I really start following the team, and even then it was more the minors/Correa and Cosart's starts. Feels great to watch competitive baseball again. Must be on Cloud 9 if you're Tellitlikeitis, who has been holding this down for awhile with little support!
The record for most guys with 10 HR is 11 (04 Tigers). We currently have 9 with Altuve going deep. We have 4 other guys who could get to 10 (Conger 8, Gonzalez 8, Marisnick 6, Lowrie 5). Gomez has also shown the ability in his career to get 9 more by the end of the year (last 3 years he's hit 9 HR in less than 40 games 3 separate times), but given the level of his funk that would feel like a long shot at this point, but a possibility nonetheless. Doesn't really mean anything, but an interesting little record we could have.
I've actually been more concerned about the Rangers than the Angels. The rangers have been on a pretty solid run for quite a while now. They have enough pitching to stay close. We just have to avoid another sustained losing streak. There's a 10-game road trip next month that will likely determine our outcome. That said, I'm glad that we're not in the NL Central right now. We'd be in 4th place and out of a playoff spot.
Well, we did a thorough job of confusing the hell out of ourselves. Thank you, Mike. And damn you, Lagavulin.
The 3 best teams in all the NL are all in the central division. It would be a much longer climb to the top if we were still there. I am just as worried about the 7 games we have with them in September as the 10 game road trip. They are 8-4 against us this year.
Thankfully, the Rangers have an upcoming series against the Blue Jays…we really need Toronto to take care of the series. Btw, the Blue Jays scare the **** out of me.

Love how the Dodgers are like "whatever we're not whiners" I mean if it's accepted by the players and coaches then why bring it up?
Yeah they scare me ! They have a potent offense and pitching has been really good lately and that's with Hamels sucking ! Gawd I hate the Rangers
The 18-4 is Toronto. Texas has been pretty good, but they are actually only 9-6 their last 15 games. We are 8-7 over that same time period. The Rangers will have to get better pitching if they want to catch us, their pitching has been ok, ours is certainly a level or two above them
