they're probably still pissed off that the umps in new york offices had to over turn their bogus calls. nba refs and umps hold the most grudges.
With every network having their own version of K-zone and accumulated missed calls being tracked on a regular basis now... something is going to come to have to come to a head with the umpires and these awful strike zones. You can already see it with replay, regarding how many calls the umps really are just basically "guessing" on... same thing happens with balls/strikes every single freaking night.
No kidding. Maybe it is because McHugh is working the other side of the plate, but that strike 3 to Correa was farther off the plate than at least 4 pitches called balls from McHugh.
The ump is consistently setting up behind the catchers right shoulder.... on both left handed and right handed hitters.
Bailing out an elite SP like Archer by swinging at pitches way off the plate is a way to get shut out.
Dude, they're not guessing. Have you ever had a 90somethingmph baseball thrown at your head? Of course there are crappy umpires, the crew chief of this bunch is at the top of the list. CB Bucknor, Angel Hernandez, etc....
Castro is the team's main culprit. I believe Marwin did too yesterday... unfortunately it was a called strike.
