Against LeftIes Marwin needs to play. I like your idea about White. Can Carter be in DL for not carrying his weight with his average????
McCullers pitch on Sunday, what roster move are we going to see? I can only see one right now and is releasing Carter.
And Velasquez is coming up, presumably because of last night. Assuming they don't send him back down for McCullers, that will be 2 roster spots.
Wow unless a player goes to the DL I don't see the second player to be gone. I only see the Carter move. The other one could be marisnick por a couple of weeks but that leaves us with bad defense in the outfield.
Is it possible that they bring up Valasquez for tonight and tomorrow and then send him down to make room for McCullers Saturday, then bring him back up the 31st or 1st depending on how they feel about using him in the playoffs.

Yep, and unless a pitcher gets hurt, Fields has to stay down for 10 days. It's a shame since Fields has not given up a run in his last 12 appearances (11 innings) with 13 Ks, 4 hits and 2 walks.
41 games left. If we go 23-18 we will finish at 89-73. That probably wins us the division. Very doable.
23-18 = .561. Current record = .545 Not to say we can't do it, just more for reference. With Lance and Springer coming back to juice up the team and with the home/road split being close to even (just 3 more road games than home remaining), I could see them reaching 90 wins. Wow. 90 is possible.. so happy

Dang, Fields has been outstanding lately. The pen is getting worn out no doubt, but I don't get sending Fields out for 10 days and adding VV to help the pen. Get rid of Carter, he doesn't help us, and rarely plays anyway. And this would really suck for Fields, 30 years old going through a great stretch of pitching and all of the sudden "hey bro, head down to Corpus for a bit"
VV is fresh and Fields isn't, right? So I get why it helps the pen. For Sunday, they'll likely option VV back for Lance. And then we'll see if someone gets injured so that Fields can be playoff eligible while keeping Carter into the offseason. If not, I hope Carter gets cut on the 31st for Fields to make the playoff roster. eh, it's not ideal, but i'm sure by now he understands this side of the business. Roster crunches, options vs. non-options, etc. I think he'll be happy that he's pitching well and helping a team in a pennant race, and has a real shot at making the playoff roster still
