People were just complaining about Castro getting too many starts and that Conger needed more ABs. lol.
Three terrible ABs. Conger and Rasmus with wild strikeouts and Altuve flailing away for a weak popup on his AB. This lineup has very few professional hitters who give you quality ABs on a consistent basis.
Astros need to address 1st obviously but catcher as well. Conger's bat is passable but his glove has really disapointed.
Minors wil always be stocked based on successful drafts and trades during non-contending seasons. I don't think Luhnow is taking this year for granted at all (hence why they were ready to give up a lot for some big names)... but I would also say he's already lost on the Carter decision (he did predict he'd be in consideration for MVP this season), and the Fowler- Valbuena/Straily trade is mainly a wash (and definitely mitigated by Correa's early ascension and the Lowrie signing). They've tried to address the position... after Carter failed, and Valbuena hasn't done much... thank goodness for Marwin playing 1B for the first time ever. Not going to expect much for Carter this off-season... more than likely non-tendered.
If you know Gomes is going to throw nothing but off speed pitches why wouldn't they just look for off speed pitches every single time ? That baffles me
Nah... the Gattis call was a definite push... BABIP was a huge part of that run (from his continued grounders that found a hole to Lowrie's bloop double).
