I'll give you a real life example of why people get don't see results despite being on a "diet" and eating healthy". As usual I packed my home food for lunch today. However a few colleagues walked past me at 11.30 saying "hey we're going to the Mexican place around the corner" So I jumped in and went ahead. I got what I thought was a healthy meal. A burrito bowl with little rice, black beans and chicken. On the way out the cashier asked me do you want chips? I said No and then she said it comes with the meal. So here I am having eaten a very unhealthy bag of chips and salsa and a fairly healthy burrito bowl. I see this all the time. People say oh I am going to eat healthy and get a salad. Next ting you know it's a salad loaded with dressing and a cup of soda to go with it. No way is that healthy in any way. Luckily I workout 4-5 times a week.
eating healthy is a life style change. I eat healthy except for 2 meals per week. I get 2 meals to eat whatever I want. When you do this, you really look forward to those meals and it's fun thinking about what you will have, then you feel better overall because your eating healthier. Focus on eating cleaner foods instead of calories, it's very difficult to over consume on healthy foods. 5 oz chicken breast, steam brocolli and cup of brown rice/yams is somehwere around 500 - 600 wholesome calories. That's actually quite a bit of food and should fill you up. On the other hand, one whopper is about 870 calories or so and then you won't feel fulfilled unless you order a fries and drink with that.
Walking away from 'free' or 'added value' just tuggs at the AMERICAN CAPITALIST in us all I mean 99 cents for 12 ounces . . versus 1.19$ 44 ounces Most people will get the better value .. even if they not that thirsty Rocket River

I've been doing a meal prep Sunday for the past few weeks. Make about 5 different meals for me, my girl and a friend for a total of 15 meals. We mainly eat them for lunch. Takes about 2-2.5 hours for total cook and cleanup time. No excuses for poor eating that way. Plus we'll have some excess stuff from the meals to make dinners quick. Saves on money too.
Costco has a better tasting all natural veggie patty. I've tried them all including Morningstar, but the Costco one is pretty good.
I tried them. Fyi, it makes a world of difference when you oven them instead of microwaving them. Just ate some cold reheated oven pizza and I have to say it was pretty damn good. Jennio turkey bacon in oven = winning Bacon to me is dead. It means nothing to me
kind of hard to eat right when u see this... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=9975541&postcount=8
Fortunately, sweets aren't that tempting to me. Sure they taste great, but I don't even drink soda like I used too. Red meat, fried foods, and cheese are the real problem. My almost non-existent exercise routine doesn't help either These are decent soda downgrades When doing fountain drinks, I get diet with a splash of the real deal.
