In 8 pinch hit appearances, he has struck out 6 times and walked once. The time he walked, he was caught stealing. No wonder Hinch didn't use him to pinch hit for Rasmus in the 8th.

Come on man. First Rasmus isn't as bad as the other 2. OPS+ of around 110 2+ war good valuable defender. Second the Tyler White love around here is ridiculous. He hasn't hit above 300 since low a ball. I'll agree his OBP and low K% are sexy but the dude's BABIP is like 450 right now. So he's basically very hot rn and very lucky are you just hoping to ride that in the MLB? Why not wait for Sept. where you don't have to DFA Carter. Keep your options open. Why not Duffy getting the love? And he'll be rule 5 next year so might as well give him a shot in Sept. and add him to the 40 man since you'd have to in the offseason anyway.
That Is The problem, tomorrow Marwin will not play. We complained when players produce and then next game they don't play. Go with the hot bat.

Amazing that the feat was accomplished by Altuve Castro Marwin
Parra might not have been available... for same price at least. Maybe Fires ends up the biggest piece. not giving up on Carlos yet Someone's never heard of run-diff _______ GREAT WIN!! Blastros strike again late!!! Feldman bent but didn't break Gregerson was great as well. Gomez was pretty good too. Hopefully he gets it going.
What a solid win. The Astros are really are very solid on all fronts. The starting pitching, the bullpen, the defense, the home run power, the offense. Making the playoffs is no given, since they are going toe to toe with the Angels and Rangers. But the Astros have a punches chance each and every game. But the Astros are expecting Springer, McCullers, and Velazquez in September. So they should be a lot better soon.
I'm stoked about this season, but watching these games is like pulling teeth right now. In our last 14 games, we've only had a lead larger than 2 heading into the 8th one time. Sometimes we scratch across a few runs to win, sometimes we don't, but usually the first 7 innings have been pretty uneventful offensively. We've got quite a few guys in bad slumps, they will come out, and we will get Springer back in a few weeks. We just have to hold the line while we're scuffling and we'll be in good shape. Fortunately the starting pitching has been exceptional in August.
