my body is ready. Spoiler courtesy of phonedog. http://www.phonedog.com/2015/08/16/lg-nexus-5-2015-allegedly-caught-camera
i dunno. i think the ergonomics will work though. can picture pulling it out of a pocket with the index finger already in position. it's in the same position as the m dimple on the moto x/nexus 6 and i reach for it that way.
Note 5 looks like it's going to flop. That battery is too small…no removable battery either. Im either going with the Nexus 15 or waiting until the Snapdragon 820 finds it's way into phones.
not feeling the need for all this fingerprint scanners. i'm hoping the nextbit phone will give me all i need and keep the price low and the OS light and clean.
I've been with Android from the beginning and currently have a Note 3. I skipped the Note 4 with the idea of getting a Note 5 soon after it became available. My son switched over to iPhone earlier this year and I've decided to wait and take a close look at the iPhone 6S Plus next month. Probably will end up keeping the Note 3 another year.
thoughts on the new zte phone? http://www.amazon.com/ZTE-Axon-Pro-Unlocked-Warranty/dp/B0118QFRM0/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
I thought it was a solid bang for your buck phone until the moto x 2015 was announced. For the same price on the moto you're likely to get 32gb from the moto instead of the 64gb from the AXON but moto comes with a microSD Dual front speakers with moto vs only 1 with AXON 808 (moto) vs 810 (axon) 810 is more powerful but has bad reputation of overheating and throttling back causing performance issues. 21mp (moto) vs dual (13mp + 2mp axon) . Reviews are average for the axon while 1st impressions for the moto are solid 5mp front camera (moto) but has LED flash vs 8mp front (axon) 3000mah for both but axon has removeable. 5.7" (moto ) vs 5.5" (axon) Both are QHD Moto and axon are same height with moto being just a hair thinner in the width but slightly fatter thickness wide. moto compatible on all major US carriers (VZ, SPrint, ATT and Tmobile vs axon (ATT and Tmobile) 3gb RAM (moto) vs 4gb (axon) Software is light on the moto. I can't say if that' the case on the AXON. Moto has better history of updates but with the layoffs for moto mobility, I can't say if it will continue. if you care, Moto has moto maker to customize the colors of your phone.
Unlocking the phone should be simple but making mobile payments might prove to be difficult if the NFC is on the back as well. Maybe the NFC is at the back top. It'll be interesting to see how they work that out.
gonna snatch one up? that twitter nexus acct and pushbullet are your best friends at the end of october.
Playing it safe with the Note 5? How so? If the Note 5 flops, Samsung will be broken because few will give a care about the Note 6 this time next year. 12 months is a long time. Regardless, Samsung's grip continues to slip as they no longer own the phablet category. As a Note 3 owner I can tell you this right now: If I don't get the Note 5, it's bye bye Samsung. They've lost me. One thing anchoring me to the Android side is Google Voice. Having two phone numbers (work + personal) on the same phone is awesome and giving that up will be very hard. If Google nixes GV as rumored, I'll probably join the rest of my family on the dark side.
I'm probably gonna go with the moto x pure as my daily driver and sell the nexus 6 to get one of the new nexus phones but ONLY if the phone is fully compatible on verizon and t-mobile. I have two sims and want to be able to swap between the two.
I'm a 3 guy, getting the 5, not as butt hurt/jaded as you seem to be. Aside from the 1% of people that post responses to blogs nobody cares about removing the battery.
I'm a noob: Can anyone tell me if the 2015 Moto G works with AT&T's 4G LTE? I want to do the monthly 1.5GB prepaid plan, and this phone looks like a great cheap option. OK, found this: Anyone have any good reasons as to why I shouldn't get this phone?
alcatel looks to have the advantage in the screen size and resolution department as well as the battery but the lower resolution of the moto g should prolong the life of the motorola to at least match if not surpass the alcatel. Phonearena rates the battery life of the G longer than either of the alcatel idol 3 phones. Moto has the advantage of having a near stock android experience. I don't know what Alcatel has on there but whatever it is, I believe it's already caused them to lag behind in updates. Moto G comes out of the box with 5.1.1 and will probably get Marshmallow before the idol which is on 5.02. I'm not sure if the moto features are important to you. the flick the wrist to start up the camera or the moto assist to read your texts to you while you drive and allows you to respond. idol 3 has NFC if you like to transfer files or make mobile payments or like the convenience of NFC pairing with your devices. I'd probably go with the moto G. I'm looking to get a used one in a few months just for the waterproof feature of it. be nice to have a phone to take to the water park and pool to take a few snaps. I used a sealed baggie thing from amazon and it was annoying to say the least.
Yes it'll be compatible. (Just make sure you dont buy the international version of the Moto G) Rule of thumb for AT&T is to look for support for the following LTE bands (2/4/5/17). For additional reference LTE bands for major carriers are below: Verizon - 2/4/13 T-Mobile - 2/4/12 Sprint - 25/26/41 AT&T - 2/4/5/17 US Cellular - 5/12 I should add that carrier aggregation is actually fairly important for AT&T. AT&T doesn't have a lot of contiguous spectrum for LTE so they've had to split it across several bands. Carrier aggregation allows a phone to connect to multiple bands simultaneously for greater data speeds. All carriers are implementing carrier aggregation in some form but AT&T has been the leader in this technology because they need it the most. Also the Moto G isn't capable of Voice over LTE which isn't that big a deal for AT&T but its nice to have for improved call quality.
