Glad Blue Bell is back for those who enjoy it. But I'm a little disappointed there is no "now listeria free!" label. I thought Blue Bell had learned it's lesson and was committed to safety.
Switched to Tallimook and ain't looking back. Their Cinnamon Orchata is so good. Blue Bell lost my trust with arrogant negligence.
I tried HEB's Creamy Creations 1905 vanilla, and I swear it was like eating Homemade vanilla, in fact the Buttered Pecan was just as good. Blue Bell can take as much time as they want, HEB Creamy Creations is getting some more buys in the meantime.
Their Poteet Strawberry that comes out late spring/early summer is fantastic. I'm sticking with HEB brand for now.
Nope. I'm from Brenham and I care less then you do. The only thing that is of concern to me is the people that work or have worked there and are suffering because of this.
Well, the stock market is tanking... But at least I can enjoy some good Blue Bell while watching my 401k account become nonexistent. :grin:
I don't really like it. I prefer Blue Bell's Strawberries and Homemade Vanilla with larger strawberry chunks that you can actually taste. HEB's Poteet Strawberry has smaller crushed strawberry pieces that have no flavor.
This would have been a great time for them to do a little re-branding and re-formulating and come out with a more natural product. Nix the corn syrup, guar gum, artificial flavors, etc.... Definitely would have helped PR-wise, plus it would be a better product.
Yep. ^ I've sworn off ice cream for awhile and my waistline is the better for it, anyway. Think I've dropped 15 pounds in the past few months with few other changes in diet / physical activity, so Blue Bell....thanks but no thanks. They knew they had problems but still continued to send their product to market. Eff'em. And what's the deal with Channel 2? You'd think Dominique Sachse has a marketing deal with Blue Bell, as Frank Billingsley has some deal with Galveston. They should make a commercial filmed on the Seawall: She says, "Now you can enjoy your Blue Bell ice cream...." High beams. He finishes, "...right here in Galveston. But careful now! Don't let it melt!" Beaming smile. Beaming all around.
