    gomez looks like he's guessing now. Tends to happen when guys are in slumps though. Just has to work his way out of it, I suppose..

    It hasn't been two weeks. This whole season Gomez has looked like he's in a funk. It's the reason why the Mets decided to pull out of the trade. They made the smart decision and got Cespedes instead. We end up with the bum.

    And what does Jesus have to do with this conversation?

    If it was the reason the Mets pulled out of the trade, why did they agree to the trade in the first place? If it's been the whole season, then nothing would have suddenly changed

    Although the teams had agreed to the players in a trade -- right-hander Zack Wheeler and Flores for Gomez -- the deal crumbled Wednesday night after an exchange of medical records, Brewers general manager Doug Melvin told the Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel.
