Xerdan Shaqiri to Stoke City for 12 mil. How the hell did that happen out of nowhere? He had Liverpool after him and even had Arsenal who can offer him CL. What am I missing?
They weren't after him, Britisch rubbish rumors. This guy is a joke without any ball-iq and a cancer to his teams with his ridiculous demands and b****ing.
I dunno, I heard rumors that Arsenal was after him, along with LFC. Maybe Yung-T is correct and the Brit media just loves to create stuff out of thin air... much like BSPN.
So what the heck is happening with Benzema to Arsenal?! Seems to be turning into the soap opera of the transfer window.
Bundesliga finally starts tomorrow. What do you guys think? I got Bayern winning the 4th title in a row the first time. Only threat is Wolfsburg, but they will be in trouble once they get into Champions League rhythm. The new teams, Ingolstadt and Darmstadt, will face a lot difficulties, I wouldn't be too surprised if both of them are just there for one year. HSV should be in trouble anyways. Köln could be a dark horse for one of the european spots, they were quite good last year and made some good signings. First coach fired, I'm going with Hannover's Frontzeck, never understood bringing this loser back to Bundesliga, where he doesn't belong. Personally, I really hope my hometown Stuttgart does better. 90% of my friends are VfB fans and they'll probably die in heart attacks before they turn 40 if their club keeps going like the last couple of years. If the new coach stables the defense, they should at least be safe the last couple of games. Super excited for the new season. Saturday afternoons make sense again.
Think it's safe to say we'll win our 4th Bundesliga title in a row, this year most of our guys are healthy and Vidal & Costa were huge signings that give us more quality, I expect at least 15+ points deficit between us and the 2nd place. Will be interesting to see how Wolfsburg and Gladbach deal with being in the CL, could hurt them a bit. My top 4 are Bayern, Wolfsburg, Gladbach, Dortmund (Tuchel is a great coach and should bring out the best in them). Back to Bayern, think we'll fail in later CL rounds because of Pep's stubborness and the moronically high defensive-line. And then let's hope the Pep era is ending in 2016, I want Favre or Ancelotti as successor.
Idiotic Pep said that "everyone must run exactly where he tells them to run, the only player in the world who would be exempt from that is Messi". There are so many things wrong with that mindset, and it shows he still hasn't learned from his failures of the last two seasons. He also said that Alonso was the best player in the two games vs. Barca last season (dafuq?!). I'm glad Basti doesn't have to put up with that crap this season. The thing is that our players are still too good individually for the rest of the Bundesliga, despite the moronic coach.
Read it today, disgusting. Making the same mistakes van Gaal did in his last season and not using the players to their strengths. Unbelievable how arrogant and stubborn this guy is, the whole Treble/Heynckes generation wasted because of this idiot. And regarding Alonso, it's ridiculous how he rides this guy's d*** for months now, although Xabi's been complete trash. Bit off-topic: Aston Villa signed Adama Traore for 12mil today, rox1 faints.
I was just reading an article the other day talking about how Pep is the greatest manager in football and how his style has turned Bayern into a multi-strategic hybrid monster. I was thinking if he was the greatest he should have done more since he, you know, inherited a treble-winning club. Sure, CL is hard and can be unpredictable but they just seem to go out weakly for such a powerhouse. Obviously two years ago was worse than last year due to injuries. He is obviously a good manager but I don't think you can just default say he is the best anymore. Too stubborn, too blind to his own ego. I would like to see Bayern healthy and well coached this year and the same for Barca and then enjoy them going at it in the finals since they have really been the best two teams of the last few years. But, whatever.
Guardiola's training is good, and he has an excellent understanding of the game. His problem is that he is not straight with people, he is somewhat dishonest, he plays favorites, he is too stubborn to realize when his strategy does not work, he drives people crazy with his constant meddling from the sideline, and he does not understand that you cannot work at Bayern and openly worship Barcelona and Messi at the same time - it's not professional. He also never made an effort to improve his German since he first got to Bayern.
Guardiola hat eine super, super Deutsch, das beste Deutsch auf dieser ehh Welt. Ich hätte gerne 1000 Peps in meine Deutschunterricht.
Why would he need to? He can just keep on bringing in Spanish speakers. Besides, he has Xabi. He can tell him what to do and then Xabi can explain to the rest of the team through his leadership. They should all just speak English, anyway.
I wonder how Xabi Alonso's German is? Lol yup Pep did make an effort the first year. Was surprised by his German interviews but it is not like a 45 year old can pick up a language as easily as whizz kids at the age of 4-12 years.
Saw that yesterday.. I'm a bit disappointed because I like him (brings speed and strength) but I guess there really isn't any room for him now. Ideally I would have liked a loan to a lower tier EPL team but I guess selling him for $12 mill plus buy back option during first 3 years isn't bad. His playing style fits EPL perfectly so I think given playing time his game will flourish and if he does well we have that buy back option.
