I don't think so. Hot weather lets you hop in a pool or ocean and the sun goes down. Cold weather is brutal
Isn't Mid to low 90s arriving this weekend or next week? Fawking hawt as balls man. Driving on highway seeing so many dead cars along the side.
So folks visited from Saudi in June....no rain since. They left on Tuesday, 3 straight days of rain for my lawn in Rosenberg.
Poor Bastrop. Another huge fire going on there, 3000+ acres and growing. It's southeast of the area torched in the epic fire, so places like Buescher State Park (3/4 of the park has burned) that escaped the last one are getting this one. In my parts of Burnet and Blanco counties, we've had ~1.5 inches total rain since July 1, and just about all of that came in 1 storm about a month ago. The delayed El Nino means we're probably due for a massive ice storm or 2 and/or flood events this winter. Yay.
The National Guard is using their helicopters to help fight it, and FEMA is covering 75% of the costs...wonder what the Jade Helm jackasses think about that?
Yeah, sad about the Bastrop area. Hate to see the forests burn down, and the folks losing their homes. Plus side for our area, it's going to be a BEAUTIFUL weekend after this hot week. Problem with Bastrop, is the winds will be picking up from the North.
Been plenty of smoke/smog over Austin. You can smell the fire, too. It's pretty bad and I hope they get it under control. It's been so dry for the past 3 months.
Looks like the highs drop down to the low 60s and high 50s starting Monday, with lows in the low 40s.
