Not a chance, I'm sure he's happy about being in the showcase as a training body, but let's be serious, that's not the same deal. I'm sure Jeremy Lin was happy about making it in 2012 before he had to eventually decline the offer. Making a national team showcase doesn't mean you are a budding star or anything like that. It means you agreed to be essentially a camp body.

You don't see how you can be considered to be hating on Jones?

One of our players gets invited to play for team USA, and your first reaction is to go "PSH he aint making the team anyways, not one single chance just a town boy!". Doesn't seem very supportive of you.

He's not really playing for team USA though like Howard and Harden are, he's a camp body at the showcase. I mean, sure great for him, but it means little to nothing. Those hyping it up as if it means something are pretty ridiculous.

He's bashing Jones to prop up DMo. In his mind, this accomplishes....something.

    Very LOF like

And I'm sure that's why he's unemployed in the NBA.....

    Keep going though, it's hilarious.

I'm your mind, JVG is a bad coach then.

    Brilliant.

    He has a career 117 ortg and .163 ws/48.

Are you really this dumb or are you pretending?

    Honestly hard to tell.

I'm not going to completely go over this with you again, you can hype up a guy that was just benched in the playoffs for god-awful play who shot 22% from the 3 point line overall last season while not playing any defense to speak of and pretend he's awesome all you like, but it's not going to change reality.

In fact, you people who look at the mediocrity that has been Jones' career and hype it up as more than that are the one's that make it seem like I'm "hating" when I give an accurate representation of the player he actually is.

It will be a lot better being a Rockets fan once Jones and his ridiculous fanbase are gone. From the latest polls, it's only a small number of you, but damn you guys are loud and foolish.

Why are you wasting time arguing with him about T-Jones v D-Mo? It's quite obvious where he stands on the two players. Just ignore his posts about the players or add him to your ignore list. Don't waste your breath replying to him.

Everyone should be happy for Jones. Doesn't matter if he makes or not the team. He will have the chance for a couple of days to watch and practice and play with superstars. I don't think of any way this will hurt him. (except of a real injury *knock on wood*). This is good for all young players. If nothing else to motivate them even further.
    So whats the problem here?

I don't see a problem here at all unless some try and talk up his opportunity being a camp body into being something more than that. I'm happy for him, he can tell his grandkids one day that he got to be a camp body for Team USA....but let's not pretend like he's going to be on the Dream team or anything.

Unlike some people, I'm excited and happy for Terrence Jones to have such a great opportunity. As a Rockets fan, I want everyone on the team to succeed and have a chance to get better by playing amongst the best of their peers.

I'm looking forward to watching him play tonight and I am also looking forward to him playing next season.

I realize that this is a difficult concept for some.
