Carl, Respectfully, the only way for us to acquire Markieff at this time is to: 1a. Combine Terrence Jones, Donatas Motiejunas, Sam Dekker, and Clint Capela in outgoing salary. or 1b. We could possibly obtain another player using our $1.6 million Shved TPE and then in 60 days combine that salary plus 3 of the 4 players in 1a. to trade for him. or 2. Trade Ariza for him. or 3. Trade Ty Lawson for him and something else. or 4. Trade Dwight Howard for him and something else. or 5. Trade James Harden for him and something else. Which one of those you wanna pull the trigger on, big fella? You already know all this. Obviously you're trolling here.
Markieff takes too many jump shots to play Rockets style basketball. And with the addition of Ty Lawson, a slasher who can finish high like Terrence Jones has more value. Let Markieff do his thing elsewhere. Not here: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...ff-morris-phoenix-suns-charged-felony-assault
Maybe McDaniels, TJ, & Dekker for Morris and Booker would be something they pull the trigger on later in the year. I'd certainly do that.
I doubt I would either .... Morris just isnt enough of an upgrade to justify all the assets it would require just to match his salary (Jones , KJ + a minimum salary guy). Not to mention all the crazy .... and I had enough of that with Squid & don't call it a comeback Royce White. This team has enough players with issues in Lawson. On to the next one ....
No. Wouldnt trade for him, shouldnt have drafted his brother. The Suns, just like Hou, should have drafted Leonard.
I would rather have everyone of our PFs right now that Markieff. He most likely spending time in jail anyways.
Don't know if same source as JR, but <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Suns?src=hash">#Suns</a> Markieff Morris prefers a trade to either <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Raptors?src=hash">#Raptors</a> or <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash">#Rockets</a></p>— Anthony DiMoro (@AnthonyDiMoro) <a href="https://twitter.com/AnthonyDiMoro/status/631900583679672320">August 13, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Let's not kid ourselves......Markieff likes Houston and Toronto because neither team has an established starter at PF. I don't want to trade for him, but I'd be happy to facilitate a trade to Toronto. I believe Cyberx mentioned something like PHX regretting not trading for TJones at the deadline. TOR In: Morris, Portland 2017 2nd Round Pick (via Houston) PHX In: Terrence Ross, Terrence Jones HOU In: James Johnson, Delon Wright
From JR's link .... Just thought it bears repeating. This Rockets roster has enough issues that it doesn't need anymore ..... especially in the form of a guy who "isnt even that good." He's like getting involved with a single woman with a bus load of kids & multiple exes .... Baggage. Dont need it!
Interesting proposal. But the Rockets would be taking back more money. Probably better off not taking back James Johnson.

Both are top teams in their conference's, with no clear starting PF's, makes sense to me if i'm him. We wants minutes, and he wants to win.
