I cannot believe Gattis cannot play 1st. It would allow Rasmus to stay in the outfield and let Tucker. At this point if Gattis cannot or won't, I would throw Rasmus over there. I don't want Carter or Valbuena in the line up at all.
Pujols fly out to CF, going to the bottom of the 8th, Sox 2 and Halos 1. By the way, Rangers losing 11 to 1 against the Twins, and Blue Jays are in first place, probably to stay, Yanks to second.
Watch JD Martinez kill us this series and most fans will once again say we should have kept him
As I was driving home yesterday, I catch the inning with the weird strike 'em out/throw 'em out DP where Tucker stopped running. The radio announcers both grasped exactly what happened. The ump made no demonstrative strike 3 call, Tucker thought it was ball 4 so he stopped running, and even the crowd didn't know as there was an obvious delay between the pitch and them cheering. They thought it was ball 4. When Tucker comes back up to bat, I'm at home watching on TV and Ashby still can't figure out what in the world Tucker was doing with his inexplicable decision to stop running there. /Intriguing
Chicago sure did us a favor that's for sure. Amazing that as bad as we were...and boy were we bad...that we are still 2 games up. Time to right the ship, and continue our solid play at home. Angels have KC next...we have the Tigers. Time for some more separation.
Not only they have KC, but they had a very tough game last night, using many relievers, and going 13 innings. Is going to be difficult for them to win tonight.
We should not worry, they are the ones to worry. We are number 1 in homers, they are number 1 allowing homers.
