Damn, if there wasn't a fire before that, I would've assumed China just got nuked..... That shockwave was insane in the second video considering how far away it appeared to be.
https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/3gr1bh/huge_explosion_reported_in_chinese_port_city_of/ Holy ****...
There were two explosions, the first one is equals to 3 tons of TNT and the second one is 21 tons. The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was equivalent to 21,000 tons of TNT. The 2 shocks registered 2.3 and 2.9 in magnitude.
Graphic security cam footage. Not bloody, but this guy probably did not survive. Tragic Spoiler <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Security footage shows China explosion. No idea if those numbers are accurate, but here is a 50 ton TNT explosion <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bIQr62lZbsM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Wow. Tragic. Hoping that the numbers are real low. ......a second person walks right in from the left corner..... *sigh*
Man I can't even imagine. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DLfen9rjfvI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Something like this can happen any where, eg the massive fertilizer plant explosion at West, TX in 2013.
Tianjian is a pretty large city and the port for Beijing area. Given the density of the Chinese cities I'm hoping for the best but expect casualties to rise.
Easily. There could be 50,000 deceased and they will claim 2k died. They don't want the negative attention in the media.
The first one looks like something from Independence Day. Hopefully most of the buildings were industrial and mostly empty. The early reports that it was a shipment of explosives seems like an awfully convenient excuse to say it wasn't an industrial accident. I am not buying it.
So you don't believe the 17 dead and 400 injured? http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/08/12/us-china-blast-idUSKCN0QH2B220150812
That city has a population density of over 14000 people per square mile, which means more people per square mile than Boston....I'm sure only 14 non-firefighters were killed by that giant explosion. Why not?
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/g7FXeaahRsg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Prayers and thoughts for the many innocent victims... what a terrible image to see...
