Your DVR messed up. That "next episode" you speak of is part of the same episode. The episode runtime is 56 minutes.
That part of the show looked like a commercial for Memorial Herman. Him doing drills, the Cinematography and the continuous banners of Memorial Herman in every scene.
What are you expecting from the owner on the field? Did you want him to rip Snyder a new one while in the VA Governor's Mansion? McNair isn't a leader because he's faithful to his wife (not that Kraft wasn't) and doesn't have a trophy hanging from his arm? I really don't understand how you take away "hasn't a competitive bone in his body" from anything you've seen there...especially when discussing a billionaire who built his fortune on his own.
I'm watching with my wife and they show Kevin Johnson's sister and I'm just like "damn she's hot" out of pure reflex. Doh.
First: The episodes will always be available the very next morning on HBO GO, not 5PM the next day. Second: How can anyone say that an episode with Vince Wilfork schooling kids on the basketball court was lame? Third: Hopkins is good.
But he does say "f***" A LOT...so, there might be some correlation to success there. I'm honestly not watching Hard Knocks as a fan of Hard Knocks. I'm watching this version because we, as Houston Texans fans, get a great insight to the team we love. If you're not a Texans fan, then I get the whole "HK has become formulaic blah blah b-blah..." As a fan, I'm loving this. When else have any of you gotten so see the inside of a team meeting or hear Bill O'Brien speak without it being a press conference? It's hilarious hearing the national media this morning debate whether JJ Watt is for real or not. Don't care about the argument so much as I'm enjoying that the national media is discussing the Texans.
Vince ain't schooling no one on the court. It was entertaining to say the least. I would like to see more of Hopkins and Cushing. I also want to see some fire out of the QBs
Based on his screen time and input to the whole process, it seems Rick Smith does about as much for this team as I have always suspected he did. Also wanted to echo what someone else said about Arian's workout routine. I thought it was interesting they threw that in there including the quote by Arian where he mentions that he could go to any fitness trainer in the city, but he chooses his brother. Then BAM...injury. I bet they wouldn't have bothered including that in the episode if he hadn't hurt his groin.
What was it he said to Deandre Hopkins? I couldn't understand him but he seemed to be upset that Deandre wasn't doing something or other.
I believe the exchange went something like this Cushing "If you're so damn good then why aren't you returning punts?" Hopkins "Jerry (Rice) didn't return punts" Cushing "I don't give a **** about Jerry Rice, You're 10, not 80"
