    This is why I dont prefer Hinch.


    Starlin Castro is struggling like crazy and Maddon benches him. Carter and others are struggling and they dont get benched. :rolleyes:

    Such tough luck for Kazmir.

    1st infield single he takes his time to make a good throw, but Maxwell beats it out.
    2nd infield hit he rushes it and it leads to an error and a run.

    So, would you rather have them swing at a pitch in the strike zone... or swing at a 2 strike off-speed pitch that may be nowhere close tot he strike zone?

    Hitters who swing at hittable pitches in the zone are statistically making the "right" decision... regardless of the count (and this guarantees nothing in terms of getting a hit or getting on base).

    i'm almost more irritated at the first play than the 2nd. He didn't have time to shuffle...get up and throw man! Maybe I've been spoiled by Keuchel's fielding.

    It's hard to believe in this team no matter how good they play at home because they suck so bad on the road. They look totally inept and could easily be winless on this road trip.
