i'd love for you to explain why anyone plays baseball. Or any sport. Pretty sure it's all figured out--might as well just look at the odds, write the score down, and move on..right?

I'm assuming you make about 10 mil a day gambling on sports?

Agree, but i am losing confidence in our manager with the moves he is making lately.

Now, i just thought abut this, Blue Jays gave the ball to Roberto Osuna, very young pitcher to be their closer, why don't we do the same with VV?????

    1. I dont gamble
    2. I will forget more baseball than you will ever learn.

It's not rocket science how bad our offense is. It doesnt help we are facing one of the best pitchers in the majors either. Given that we are a strikeout prone team thats a bad recipe for disaster.

Seriously you guys need to quit getting all emotional and acting like babies when other Astros fans arent a homer as you.

    This strike zone is awful.

Probably, as we are making easy outs early in counts meaning, Bumgarner probably pitches 9, as Gray did.

Maybe we get lucky, lets see, but not looking good at all, but, early today, when we saw the lineup we expected this thing to happen. Where is Marwin??? Paternity leave??????

When you face a SP as good as Bumgarner and he gets these strike calls, it is extremely difficult to put anything together. Combine that with the lack of discipline from this lineup and this is what you get.

Ha, sure. Assume away. I'm sure you're the smartest one on here.

It's also not rocket science that 1 run is nothing in the 4th, regardless of how poorly a decent offense is currently playing, or how good of a pitcher is

Me thinking any team can come back from 1-0 against any pitcher when there's half a game left has nothing to do with being a homer vs. not.

Bumgarner... 64 pitches thru 5 innings.

Make him work or make it count.

Agreed... Singleton showing a pulse would be the ultimate victory.

Astros weren't going to be able to afford Pence long term as is... will be nice to develop more talent like him for future competitive teams.

Gonna be tough to win many games with struggling Gattis, right-handed Conger, Carter AND Marisnick in your lineup.... let alone facing the mad bum.

Gonna need him to make a mistake to one of the Carlos'

    Serious question

If being down 1-0 makes you say game over

Why did you even care to watch? If 1 run means we automatically lose, then there was zero chance to win in the first place

Swinging at first pitches against an ace like Bumgarner is so dumb. Your goal is to get him out of the game... make him throw you some pitches. My god it isn't that difficult.
