15-19 in one run games. Thats not terrible. Bullpen has been up and down I guess. I was actually expecting it to be better.

Yes, but is not going to be in our hands, is going to be in the Angels hand. The road record is killing us, and looks like it will continue to do so in the near future.

I think that we should think first improvement and .500 record, and get this year of experience, and lets see what happens. If we go to the playoffs, great, if not, well we improved.

The only thing that i regret, as i've mentioned before is all the good prospect we gave for the playoff run. I believe Luthnow did the right thing, and if it backfires, he did the right thing, but it stings.

wish i was optimistic enough to have any confidence that it's gonna suddenly turn around just because they go home

Yes I do. For a fun gig I had been a Ballpark Supervisor for the Astros the past 5 years, I resigned this past off season as it became too much of a commitment. Astros HR tells all it's part-time and full-time employees that you are a representative of the team even when you're not clocked. They advise the use of proper Internet/social media etiquette when talking about the team and not to spew slander about your employer.

I'll take pretty much anyone over Gregerson. His confidence must be destroyed right now.

I think what upsets me the most is that Hinch does nothing ! He just stands there with one foot on one step and his shades ! Does he even coach? I think he tells himself "I'm fine we weren't suppose to be this good anyway"

When you say this about your "closer" you know that guy is not the best for the job.

Whatever. Gregerson is not a closer. The Astros organization agrees he's not a closer that why they tried to get a closer at the deadline but were unsuccessful. Sigh...

I have to think the Astros trade for KRod if no one makes a waiver block.

I know what you mean but they have played great at home one of the best home records in the majors.

They will win at home, same thing happen before and after All Star, the problem is we are playing so bad on the road, that even playing good at home could not be enough for us to make it. The O's are good, Blue Jays will win the division, Yankees have an easier schedule than us (with exception of Blue Jays), and even the Rangers are not out, and they are beating us this year.

It does not look promising, maybe Springer will change all of that.

sure, and all those home wins are in the past. we aren't just handed future ones commensurate with our past record...we have to actually play and win them.

    nothing is a given.

I just want the playoffs so bad this year. It has been so long. Can't be losing 3/4 games against the worst team in your division like this. Angels are a half game back and the Rangers are 3 (?) games back with almost two months left to go in the season still. So much game left to be played and the Astros just make their margin for error smaller and smaller. The possibility is very real for both the Angels and Rangers to leap frog them.

My friend, why you take this personal? I am only talking about the Astros. Ok, you don't want to take it on the Astros and instead you want to take it on me???? Come on, relax, and take it on OUR team taht is playing poorly.

Do you blast your employer on the internet? Astros employees have to follow a higher standard.

    Good news...

Stros can't lose 3 games in SF.

    ----

    1st series - 0 wins
    2nd series - 1 win
    3rd series - ???

If trend continues, we should sweep the Giants
