harris has been off lately while sipp has found his groove again, but it was harris that got the call?
Harris not getting the job done anymore. The hitting and bullpen are not dependable enough atm. Starting pitching is contender status.
Another close game lost by the Astros, and the manager has a lot to do with it. Harris has struggled in the second half, 1.50 whip and 4 ERA. You have Neshek to throw to 2 righties, 8th and 9th hitter, and you bring harris who has regressed, as you said, and having a tough second half. I prefer to see harris in the 7th inning, not in the 8th. Hinch, this one is on you, well, maybe not because we are not going to score much so sooner or later, the loss was going to come anyway, WE ARE ON THE ROAD. And yes, to the forum member that is not with us so far today, this team on the road IS PITIFUL.
I dont blame the bullpen at all. Offense is a freaking joke and it puts more pressure on the pen to keep the game close or tied.
We've scored 1 run. Yeah the bullpen maybe hasn't been as reliable as in the first half but it's hardly bad. This team needs offense.
Pitching is fine. Carter needs to be cut. Get a first baseman who can get on. We have a ridiculously unbalanced lineup. There are probably 3 or four DHs for any other team on our's.
Playoffs??? Are you kidding me, lets see numbers 23 and 34 13 and 32 With those numbers, we are not going to win the division, nor the second wild card spot. Those numbers at the end means not winning series, and winning less than 1 game per 3 game series. We just lost to the A's on a 4 game series. You know how difficult is to lose a 4 game series? Against worse team in your division?????? Well, Astros can, and will continue doing in it. Lets look at the Astros to win 81 games, play .500 or better, and that is an improvement. Great experience, but a pity that we had to give prospects for this fiasco. That should be the only regret.
And yes, 3 or 4 guys will hammer us, the ONES THAT POSTED DURING THE WHOLE GAME, that saw this shameful lineup make a rookie look like Nolan Ryan, and talk **** about us. Well, dudes, on this one, we are right and you are wrong, and we don't care if we are in first place because if this fiasco on the road continues, at the end, will be out of the playoffs.
