Daz Cameron went 2-5 with an RBI single and a run scored in Greeneville.

Everyone in the Fresno lineup tonight has a hit. It's the 3rd inning.

J.D. Davis has now homered in 5 consecutive games. He's now got 21.

Unfortunately, Lancaster is trailing High Desert 10-4 in the 9th.

I get the impression that Moran is doing exactly what the hitters coach is directing. Which might explain why he struggled early. Because, guys like him who have such an approach will succeed or fail, following the advise of the coaches.

I wonder how Luhnow ranks his stable of prospects. Because he's mentioned in interviews that GM prospect ranking usually differ greatly from GM to GM. Kind of saying don't believe that the national media prospect listing might be more of a popularity contest than an indicator of talent.

    I really like Moran.
Now, with Lowrie sign for 3 years, i think Moran will play full year of Triple A in 2016 and in 2017 will have a chance to be the regular and Lowrie becoming utility player.

I would think Luhnow ranks him very highly

He was considered at least a bit at 1-1 his draft year, and then we went after him in trade the next. He will likely get every chance to win the 3B job next spring, and wouldn't surprise me to see him in September when rosters expand

Colin Moran has matched his 2014 home run total in 45 fewer games. He's been a completely different player since his DL stint earlier in the season.

The most encouraging thing is that it appears that he's tapping into the power that everyone's been expecting from him. I'm thinking that there's a 15-20 homer player on our hands.

Luhnow saw something he really liked in Moran, given that he was considered for #1 overall.

On the surface, he just didn't look like a guy that should have that sort of hype. Slow, mediocre fielder, limited power, should hit for a good average, that was what most people seemed to think of him, and that isn't a report that screams top prospect.

If he can start to hit for some power, on top of hitting over .290, he suddenly becomes a guy that is really valuable, even if he has to move to first, but particularly if he can stay at 3rd.

Then you add in what JD Davis is starting to show, and 3B has a couple of good possibilities as we move forward

    Daz Cameron!!!!
Dude has gone beast since moving up. It's also nice to see him hitting it the opposite way.

I don't think I've seen a .550 BABIP before. Good to see him doing well, but those numbers are going to regress, probably hard. He nearly doubled his BABIP between levels.

Maybe he's the GOAT! We can hope right? I do believe he will come off those numbers, but if he continues with some semblance of these numbers, he could possibly move forward quickly through the farm.

Kyle Tucker is 2-2 with an RBI double in the early going of Greeneville's game in Bristol.

Greeneville is up 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 3rd.

Tucker finished 3-4 with a stolen base (2, 5 season). Daz Cameron was 1-5, scored a run, and stole yet another base. It's his 6th in the Appalachian League and 18th overall. Greeneville won 8-1.

Michael Feliz allowed 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8 over 6 shutout innings for the Hooks. It'll likely be his final inning as he's thrown 99 pitches (59 strikes). Corpus leads 1-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th.

Alex Bregman also extended his hitting streak to 7 games with an RBI single in the 6th inning.

Keegan Yuhl had another fine start as he allowed 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5 over 6 shutout innings. He now has a 1.58 ERA in the California League.
