You could make the similar opposite case for how good they are at home. They started out 4-6 at home and are 34-12 since. So they got worse on the road and even better at home. Doesn't really matter how you play on the road vs at home as long as the sum total adds up to a good number.
Yep Some complain that we suck on the road Some don't like the all or nothing kind of offense This or that, that or this Bottom line, we are heading into Mid August and we have a first place team!!!
Historically, pitchers' ERA is highest in the 1st inning. Not sure how much worse the Astros are vs other teams though.
Jim, i have to agree with you, the team we SEE right now on the road is the 13 and 31, and not the 10 and 2 team. That is the TRUTH
Mr. Beard, yes, we are in first place but IF we continue with the 11 and 31 road record trend WE WILL NOT MAKE IT to the playoffs, would you agree on that???? I HOPE they improve, but that is not what present play on the road tells us. Now, i wish we win today (split) and we win or split next series and say, we are improving in the last 6 games, and when it happens, MANY OF US will talk about that, BUT RIGHT NOW, we have to talk about the debacle of this team on the road.

Some changes, but still not enough, i like Lowrie with his OBP leading off, but i do like they move CArgo from 2nd spot, and Tucker is playing very good. I would have used Marisnick for defense, as this game may be a low scoring game, and Marisnick hits better righties and Bassit has better number vs lefties. But, I DO LIKE to see changes
Good with numbers, nice, now, can you tell me if you like the lineup? Why? Why not? Baseball is lineups, talk about guys that should be there, or not, should be hitting in a power position, and things like that, instead of keeping track, what do you think about the lineup???? One thing i like about this lineup is Gattis is NOT playing. Many on this forum wanted that, you, i don't know because you did not mentioned. Now you can, do you like that move? I do.

That is the nice thing about the late west coast timed games--seems to be way past his bedtime and he posts far less.
Agreed. I hope we can hold on to a lead or at least stay within a game or 2 for when he gets back. He might not cure all but he will certainly make a big difference.
