Fisher is still on 19. Chase McDonald joined Davis and Reed in the 20-homer club for the 2015 season. Singleton has 17, Matt Duffy and Domingo have 16 apiece. McDonald was drafted in the 12th round in 2013 out of East Carolina. He's listed at 6'4", 265.
Alex Bregman just hit his 1st homer in the Cali League. It's a solo shot that increases Lancaster's lead to 8-5 in the 8th.
Huh. Was there some sort of deadline where up until that point you could make trades or something? Guess I must have missed that.
Ha, well it sounded like it slipped at least one of your minds (massively unlikely tellit's). Not sure what relevance his HR total is anymore.
Who knows. Well anyway, Tyler White hit a 2-run homer for Fresno in the 6th. It's his 4th in the PCL and 11th overall. Those are currently the only 2 runs in the game, which is heading to the 8th.
You mean Miguel Carbrera? He didn't have the glove of those 2, but offensively has been the love child of those 2. Chipper Jones would be the fine as well.
I am one of those that really like Moran, i think he will be our 3b in 2 years, now, i don't agree with your numbers. I think he is more a Magadan type of player, with less walks and more power. I can see Moran hitting .290 to .300 with and OBP of .350 with 10 to 15 homers, making the plays at 3b but not the range we've seen from Valbuena.
Nestor Muriel, the Astros' 6th-round pick a couple of months ago, hit his first career homer down in the GCL.
In the latest installment of eyewitness scouting reports from Baseball Prospectus, D.J. Fisher is profiled. Jake Nottingham was also mentioned.
Colin Moran just hit a 2-run homer for Corpus that tied their game with Midland at 2 in the 6th. It's his 6th homer of the year.
He has been playing great baseball since the start of July: Hitting .360/.423/.590 with 6 bombs while walking 9.6% of the time and striking out 19.9% of the time in 35 games.
Another one. Might be time to promote him. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Colin Moran with a solo HR for <a href="https://twitter.com/cchooks">@cchooks</a> his 2nd in the game and 7th HR on the season! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a></p>— Astros Future (@AstrosFuture) <a href="https://twitter.com/AstrosFuture/status/630202036907171840">August 9, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I'm so excited about Moran, the only prospect I've been more excited about in the past few years was Correa. All he does is hit. Time to move him up to AAA & I think we could possibly see him this year.
