As you all know, i like Marisnick a lot but you are right, he is struggling for a long time now. Now, we either sign Cargo for a long term contract, or hope Marisnick improves because our other CF option was traded to Milwaukee, unless Kemp is an option there in 2 years.

Also have a guy named George Springer who can play a little CF.

Kemp is an option there in 2 years.

We also will have a read on Daz Cameron and Kyle Tucker, who both could profile there in a few more years.

Bregman will also be on the fast track, and it wouldn't shock me to see him move there given the blocks at 2B and SS.

    Plenty of options.

deion sanders used to bat like .000004 in his early years and became a nice .270 hitter in his mid 20s. all things are possible through process and corked bats.

Would you sign Cargo, even if it costs a lot?

Let's wait and see how he gels with the team. That decision is about 18 months away.

Off topic but there are so many great games tonight! Giants vs Cubs for the wildcard lead, Cole vs kershaw, Blue Jays and Yankees.

Rather see Tucker at DH and Marisnick in left. Gattis needs some time off.

Marisnick is not a major league baseball player at this point. All the defense in the world can't make up for a 0.500 OPS since May 1, which I assume is, by far, the worst in baseball.

The only time Marisnick should play is late innings of a close game. The offense is struggling too carry a zero on offense.

Surprisingly his .528 OPS since the All star break is ahead of some folks.

You are correct. He has a place on a team, but starting CF is not it.

I really like his glove and had high hopes for him early this season, am now totally disappointed in his bat.

Jake will provide some great bench work in the postseason (if we get there) as a defensive replacement and/or PR late in games. Like Dyson and Gore did for Kansas City last year.

Yesssssss, we forgot that one, lol

But YESSSS, if we don't resign Cargo, and Marisnick does not improve, HE IS OUR CF.

Jake was hitting fairly well to start the season, why can't he get back there?

At least Gattis is not hitting 4th and 5th

This is going to be a low scoring game, i would had used Marisnick in lf and Tucker instead of Gattis

He can't hit at this level. I think he's a great defensive replacement/pinch runner though.
