    Gregerson's stuff is not good enough to be the closer long term. It really hurt the Astros weren't able to pick up Kimbrel or someone like that.

    The padres asked for the best hitter in baseball from the Diamondbacks for their closer. Obviously, since they made NO trades....they overvalued their players and were asking for too much.

    It looked like he was half-assing / short arming his throws... a few in that inning he reached back for a little more. Just me or is that just his throwing motion and I'd missed it somehow previously?

    keyword: "entirely." that error by lowrie was very costly. greg didn't have it tonight though, bad command, got behind in the count.

    i'm also one of the last guys who would be defending luke. trust me, i definitely wanted a different closer if they could've been had.
