I can tell you first-hand, its is not a nice stadium. Its in a nice area... unless you're from Tampa, then its a b**** of a drive. The most comparable stadium that I can compare it to would be the Astrodome... which obviously had its own set of limitations given that it was built to be a multi-purpose stadium and was the first of its kind. The Trop was built awhile ago... its not a "new" stadium at all... but they did put a lot of effort into trying to make it as fan friendly as possible. In the end, however, I couldn't' get past the ugly concrete that's everywhere... and the fact that it feels like you're watching a game by yourself (then again, maybe some people like that).
lol, and somehow I got called out (via rep) by someone for calling him out in a post...saying "at least he writes more insightful things than you". Starting to think it was him who wrote the rep..
Thanks.... much better than I remember... Burke had it going as well (till the WS... where Willy actually had one of the better slash lines on the whole team). Are these coping mechanisms? reminiscing? Guess they are.
I suppose... some people also long for the days of typhoid and syphillis being as common as the flu. Knowing what watching a game (let alone a rabid playoff game with a football-like environment) at MMP is like now... I don't think I'd ever go back.
No one here seems to want to read anything you write, so it seems like it would be better for everyone if you just used twitter for that. We don't have to read your word vomit and you don't have to read about everyone complaining about you.
Certainly true. It's just weird that you're not actually interested in useful conversations, which is the purpose of a message board. When no one likes you, whatever message you're trying to get across fails - it's communication 101. Either you want to have actual conversations, in which case you need to change your approach because it's failing miserably. Or you just want to throw out your word vomit, which seems much better suited for Twitter. What is the point of doing it where no one wants to read it? Do you get some kind of sadistic pleasure from annoying people?
Game thread if about the game. Lineups, complain of manager's moves, getting pissed when we don't deliver with runners on third base and less than 2 outs, say that Correa made a mistake losing by 3 i believe at the time and steal third (was lucky he was not out). Usually, in a game thread if you are losing, you are going to say why they are losing, and usually are negative things. If we are winning, just the opposite. Now, in other thread, we talk more about baseball, with less passion, and more numbers and stats. After all, baseball is that, stats and i believe is the sport where the manager gets more complain.
yessssss, thats the way our astros played today. Actually, thats the word for the past 3 days, hopefully that word changes tomorrow.
Disappointing series. I can't be too annoyed with this team though, the situational hitting is severely lacking but that was expected coming into the season. On to the next one.
Yup, not sure how to post the tweets on here but maybe somebody else could. Seems real bitter about the Astros letting DDJ go.
