I would probably pick an artist and do them for each room

Edward Hopper - 2 or 3 favorite works

Hokusai - probably something from waves or views of fuji series

And for the third, I don't know, maybe a very rare 16th C atlas, or Vermeer or I don't know what else. It' s almost too much to comprehend.

Donatello's David in my entry way:

Bernini's David in my living room:

Michelangelo's David in the (covered) back yard area:

Then I'd have to move on to paintings.

I don't know exactly which paintings I would choose, but they would be from these artists:

    Botticelli
    da Vinci
    Dali
    Monet
    a few by van Gogh
    another Michelangelo for good measure

I could live in a place like this.

I forgot the piece of art that I found the most amazing in Florence. I would definitely need this sculpture as well. I stared at this piece for about 45 minutes. I is amazing.

I'd probably take out the Dali painting to make room.

    Donetello's Penitent Magdalene:

This thread is impossible to reply to, because of the large images. So, I'm going to do Rocket River formatting to my text.

"Nude Descending a Staircase" immediately came to mind for me, too,
for historical significance as well as greatness.
Although, it would be pretty cool to have a special bathroom devoted to "Fountain" as well.

First on my list would be Guernica,
assuming I had a big enough space since the premise of the OP is I can afford it.
I wish I could rattle off another 8 like you can, but alas,
I just don't have that memory like you do.
I'd have to spend 4 hours researching to refresh my memory of the names.

"Not getting hastled, not getting hustled.
    Keepin' your head above water,
Making a wave when you can....."

This is the only art that I need. If you know what this is, I have one thing to say to you...

Can't take Duchamp's Fountain out of a museum or gallery setting or it loses meaning. A bathroom would further belittle the intent.

Limiting to 10 was too hard. I switched some things a couple of times and didn't even include stuff like Jasper Johns device or Bacon's Pope images. Or Toulouse Lautrec and Rembrandt prints and drawings. Or Degas's bathing women pastels. Those are ridiculously good.
    Bah!

Saturn Devouring his Children. Hard to install because it is just a piece of wall, but whatever.

The great thing about Goya getting sick and going a little crazy is he was one of the first artists to paint a significant painting (or in this case paintings) completely off commission. So he was beholden to no one and could paint what he wanted. This was when 99% of art was being made at the behest of the Church, aristocracy, or insanely wealthy. Artists had to self-censor and work within the system. Goya could no longer function like that and was house bound so - boom- creative explosion.
