    Dream
    Moses
    Big E
    Beard
    Pocket Rocket

These guys are absolutely the starting 5 for the Rockets. The team's beloved Mount Rushmore. You don't even need to know their names, their nick names are famous enough. Every one of these guys were MVPs/MVP candidates except for Murphy.

    2nd Unit:

    Yao
    Ralph
    Rudy
    Clyde
    McGrady

    3rd Unit:

    Dwight
    Barkley
    Horry
    Mad Max
    Cassell

    Rockets Multiple 50 Point Club:

    James Harden
    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Moses Malone
    Elvin Hayes

*Beard only one to score 50+ twice in one season.

    Calvin Murphy
    Rudy T

    **Both have 50+ point games.
***Tracy McGrady had 3 50 point and 1 60 point game with Orlando.

steve francis was not a good point guard, he was fun player to watch when Rudy T made that ISO offense to have him play 1 on 1, but no.

Sam Cassell is head and shoulders better than Francis.

I know we hate the guy but leaving off Pippin is inexcusable.

For SFs who only played one year with the Rockets, Artest had a better year than #33. Not getting the "inexcusable" homer argument.

True statement.... Anyone that doesn't agree wasn't old enough to know how bad quitten performed that year. Ron started slow but as soon as McGrady shut it down and Artest got inserted back into the starting spot as the 2nd option the rockets really took off.

We could have won it all that year had Yao not got hurt in the 2nd round. We didn't even need Mac that year. I think we beat LA in 7 best Denver in 6 and take out Orlando Dwight in 5. Yao always had his way with Dwight back then.

I'm looking at it as best player not best Rocket. Body of work not just time as a Rocket perhaps that wasn't the rules I didn't look.

Of course those aren't the rules. Who cares if a once-great player way past his prime played in a game for us? That's not interesting at all.

Pippen shouldn't even be considered for this.

I love Yao to death but as of right now I'd put Dwight over him. Dwight took us to the WCF.

It's more like Harden and Mobley on active list, Dwight, Yao &Tmac on injured list and you end up with

    harden
    Mobley
    Dorsey for Dwight
    chuck Hayes for Yao
    Bud for Tmac

Yao never had Harden or the team and depth that we have right now.

Not sure what you guys wanted Steve to do. Led our team in points, rebounds and assists, with the most garbage rosters ever, yet we hold that against him. Steve at his best was a force to be reckoned with. I would kill to see him matched up with Westbrook, both in their primes.

    1. Calvin Murphy
    2. James Harden
    3. Tracy McGrady
    4. Hakeem Olajuwon
    5. Moses Malone

    1. Steve Francis
    2. Clyde Drexler
    3. Rudy Tomjanovich
    4. Elvin Hayes
    5. Ralph Sampson

    Left off and it hurts...
Yao Ming, Sir Charles, No go on role players Sam, Cat and Bob...

    Murphy, Harden, Clyde, Dream, Moses

    Bench
Elvin Hayes, McGrady, Horry, Mad Max, Sampson, Yao, Cassell, Kenny Smith, Dwight, Lowry

    Coach: Rudy T

Combination of the players I have seen in Rockets uniform and tried to limit it to there contribution as a Rocket, hence no Pippen or Barkley.

Barkley took the Rockets to the Western Conference finals and stayed to mentor Steve Francis

He helped the Rockets beat the SuperSonics who beat the Rockets the previous year

Most of the players you mentioned at least went to the Conference Finals with the Rockets, except a few
