Man you are ****ing idiot. Sure we are pissed we lost but you need to step back, go outside and breathe. You are being completely irrational. Altuve is a great hitter. He tried to do to much. It happens. Grow up.
Guys, how good is this team on the road??? Remember TAmpa?? Moore coming of an injury? Struggling in ALL games except our game. Well, he is in triple A now. Is a pity for him that the road warriors only go for 3 days to Tampa.
It shouldn't have even been a decision. Jed needed to be hitting in one of those situations. Hinch, you earn the red star for awful managing tonight.
I don't care who calls me an idiot, my position stands. Great hitters have better plate discipline and awareness. Altuve has skills at hitting bad balls and it has worked for him, but he doesn't have good enough plate discipline. He has been good for the franchise during a rebuild and was the best player on a bad team. He probably peaked last year. Still can be a big part of this team moving forward but he is who he is, a talented hacker.
Okay okay, everyone relax. We will get em tomorrow. It's a long season. We got Kaz and they don't. I like our chances! You guys are the best!
I remember when Astros losses were met with figurative thousand-yard stares from guys like me, cardpire, juicystream, and like 3 other people...
I agree with you about him picking last year, i dont think he is a .340 hitter. Now, i have a problem if he hits .290 with few walks, for him to help this team he needs to be over .315, if not, he is not of much help unless he starts hitting a lot of doubles and some homers.
Result of Castro running into a couple balls lately. Didn't get PH for tonight because of it. Turned his game-winner into a net zero tonight. I'm not saying that it isn't justifiable, but does anybody else notice/find it amusing how different Hinch's demeanor is in post-game interviews after losses than it is after wins?
I don't see how you can say he "is who he is" when he just turned 25 this summer. He'll continue to get better.
Ah, memories...both fond and miserable all at once. A time that we will likely revisit 6 years from now, health permitting.
Well good for you. He's the best "hacker" I've ever seen. A "hacker" doesn't win the batting title. You obviously have never played baseball. I played for 15+ years growing up. You don't just "hack" and have the avg he has for as long as he has had it. He's a very talented hitter. He just tried to be a hero tonight. It happens. I bet when he hit that walk off homer about 2 weeks ago you were saying he's the best player on the team. Stop being a little girl. It was a frustrating loss and it sucks but we have another game tomorrow.
I really hope he gets better. He NEEDS to get better if he's going to be continued to be used at top of order/lead off spot.
