Yeah... sometimes you never know... but in this case, the Astros could have easily hung on to him without repercussions of potentially having to let go of the Marc Krauss's and Alex freakin Presley's of the world.

Hopefully Luhnow files it away and doesn't make that sort of mistake again (which has him pointing towards flawlessness).... children of former MLB players tend to have some extra insight on what it takes to make it in this league (or simply hang on to any guy with plus speed).

And some posters take that as Hinch has caused team morale to suffer... and guys don't believe in each other, and there's an overall menstrual cramp issue that won't get resolved till people see Hinch blow a gasket and kick dirt everywhere.

And nobody on this team believes that Hinch doesn't have their best interests in mind either.

And if they really do think that Hinch is an absent-minded/non stand-up guy, they must be the most mentally tough SOB's in team history to go out there and play first place baseball with no backing from their manager!

Since yall were all over Hinch for not getting ejected last night, I thought I'd look some stuff up.

Hinch has been tossed in 4 of his 319 games managed. That's 1.25%. Noted non-motivators Joe Torre and Tony Larussa got ejected in 1.5 and 1.7% of their games, respectively. Bobby Cox had great success and was the most ejected manager of all time. Earl Weaver (shockingly, I know) got ejected from 3.7% of his games, Sparky Anderson? 1.2

There's no way to judge a manager, his competence, or especially his relationship with his players by how often he blows up at the umps.

Thats thrown out, as opposed to giving the ump an ear full.

Arguing balls/strikes is an automatic ejection.
