I was riffing on his "if I'm getting beat I'm getting beat with my best" after he threw what, 8 straight fastballs to Leyritz in '98?
Yep... I was there... people were just shocked and in disbelief when it went out. Didn't even look real. As great as those Astros teams were in the 90's, they honestly just seemed to let the pressure of the moment get to them. Till Lance, Roy, and Brad (and Roger and Andy) showed up and told them all to calm the f down... its only a game... and things became easier (easier on the fans too).
Only required 83 pitches for 7 innings too. Not bad. Colin Moran is 2-3 with a walk. Third straight multi-hit game, 4th in 5 games. He has gotten hits in 26 of his last 29 games. He entered July with a .261 batting average, and has raised it to .310... the hit tool plays.
He's been on a pretty ridiculous tear since shortly after he came back from his face surgery. Also, I learned today that BJ Surhoff is his uncle.
He allowed 5 hits and struck out 5. Jake Buchanan is in as the Grizzlies lead Albuquerque 6-0 in the 9th.

.@MikeHauschild3 has breezed through 8.0 shutout IP and thrown only 81 pitches. He's had a strange experience in Lancaster, and I really don't know what to make of it. Looking forward to the season's-end evaluations in the knowledgeable media and comments from the Stros. I'm kind of hoping they send him to the Arizona Fall League (1 of the 6 players per team can be from below AA) just to get a gauge on him outside of the Cal League and against that level of talent. OPS at Lancaster: .721 OPS on the Road: .925
