Nike remains king in Basketball sneakers but Adidas has made some major moves these past couple years. I'm sure this will come with his own signature as Nike has yet to devout one to Harden specifically.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...0m-bid-sign-houston-rockets-star-james-harden I hope this proves to other stars that coming to Houston will not hurt their marketing viability and indeed could be more attractive to companies due to our global presence, especially China. Every company, worldwide, is salivating at breaking more into China so this can only be good for us in attracting stars and their agents who aware of this.
When I go to Nike stores in Houston and see tons of KD and tons of LeBron stuff, but yet nothing for Harden, I always think it's weird. I definitely prefer Nike but if Adidas will feature him more heavily, then sure why not. Oh and for $200 million? F*** yes.
Adidas has no low top stability shoe technology the way Nike has it. Really hard to compete with Harden's current gear. Fly wire and advanced zoom mesh together like nothing else available from any other brand if you are kinda of heavy set and want a low top shoe.
Yes, because it's about damn time Harden gets his own signature shoe. Damn travesty he doesn't have one yet, but I love the Nike Hyperchase that he has been associated with though.
I'm afraid for his health if he goes to Adidas! But that is so much incentive to jump brands, and finally get a signature shoe! Does Adidas want to remain associated with Houston after they've run a bit sour on Dwight? It's a nice sign
http://elitedaily.com/sports/10-sports-stars-injured-wearing-adidas/ That's not a trend. Do it James! Take the money and run to the nearest script club.
$200M/13 years, article says he could end up making more from Adidas than the Rockets in the coming years. I wonder what effect that could have on his future with us
Considering that LeBron can make a bazillion dollars in central Ohio, this has never really been a concern. Transcendant superstars cash in in the NBA regardless of where they play - it's the next level down that need a larger market to bump their bottom line.
I Really hope that he doesn't do it. And it's a shame that Kyrie got a signature shoe before him. The power of LeBron I guess. I've enjoyed playing in the Nikes that Harden is associated with though; HyperChase, Run the One (which he basically did!), Crusaders. But for $200mil, I'll play in Filas
He should go to spalding like the Dream, but for 200mil Adidas it is. Wonder when pre-ordering begins.
