If a guy doesn't play, his voice isn't really heard.

Logically, yes. Unless he wants another championship ring.

Chuck will get minutes. His defense will be needed.

What am I missing on Wright? He seems to have the worst stats of any player in the league - both on offense and defense. Looks like he hasn't shot 40% for like a decade. Yeah, I never watch him, but I can't see how you can be any good if you have stats that bad.

Another possible name to add as a 15th man could be Luke Ridnour. He is 34, and could be a 3rd PG, if Morey considers him.

That's a really depressing thought. Chuck Hayes shouldn't see the court outside of garbage time. If he's "getting his minutes" and "his defense is needed" then the Rockets are most likely having to deal with several injuries.

I'm worried about our big rotation a bit. D-Mo is recovering and Howard's knees make me nervous. If we had to go with Hayes/Capela/Jones/Harrell I don't know that we'd win much.

I'm not as worried about our backcourt. Even injuries won't make our backcourt thinner than last season.

I think Morey will try to upgrade the PF spot in December or by the February deadline, if we aren't cutting it.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Dwight Howard isn't having any lingering issues with his knee this summer

Site I keep track of Rocket salaries: 14 players signed w/Hayes and Christian Wood Non-Guaranteed (or partial guarantee). Harrell would be player 15 if signed. I can see Rockets going to camp with about 19 or more players.
The Jet last year............ 21 mins, 7 pts, 2 ast, 39% 3P, 42% FG, 81% FT. Or how about
Kendall Marshall (14-15) 15 mins, 4 pts, 3 ast, 39% 3P, 46% FG, 89% FT. Not bad for third PG if he doesn't mind accepting that role.

IF we need another big man for the final spot, I was watching a game played in Africa on the weekend and there was this guy who played a cameo for a few minutes who seemed to have some moves. Think they called it a dream shake. Anyway he might be worth a look :)

They should have made it a priority to bring Terry back.

I've been saying the same thing .... Especially since (most) everyone thinks Jones will be traded ....

I'm not all that concerned with the health of DMo & Howard , so far reports have been good ... but behind Howard & Capela @ C and DMo & Jones @ PF there isn't much quality. They could really use one more quality big who can play both spots.

Problem is Ish is not an outside shooter; which the Rockets require. He wasn't last offseason and he isn't this year. Lawson hit 34% from 3 last year, but can make an outside shot to save his life.....Ish gives us Rondo respect, as their defender leaves them wide open to double-down on others. Chuck Wagon is not the defender he was 4-5 years ago. People have learned to keep the ball high vs Hayes. Rockets will add about 4 kids to non-guaranteed contracts, which will get cut and re-signed to the Vipers before the season.
