    My guess is VV wasn't fully warmed up yet, and needed a few more minutes.

    Yep. They were planning on Fields going with the five run lead but now with the game seemingly out of reach they went to the long man.

    My guess is that VV gets sent down tomorrow anyways. I hope not though.

    If VV can control his slider like that, he could be a very dangerous relief pitcher, or starter depending on the need in the future.

    I must say if VV as a starter doesn't work out then he will be a dynamite late inning reliever. I think he will stick though.

    it's pretty wild that we came out of the deadline giving up no pitchers.

    going to be interesting to see what the hell we do between now and opening day next year.

    can never have too many arms, as they say.

    The last time the Astros had 2 players with multi-homer games was May 25, 2013 against Oakland.

    Jason Castro and Matt Dominguez both hit 2 solo shots. The Astros lost.

    Was Ashby seriously implying that the pitcher should get zero's for every inning short of ERA-title qualification that they are?

    I guess we all tie for the ERA title are 0.00! Congrats everybody!

    So is Gomez on par with, worse than, or better than Carlos Beltran when he joined the Astros. Quite a few similarities...
