With as good as Marisnick has been in the OF can't help to think what if... At least we have Keuchel on the mound tomorrow to right this ship
To me the pen is starting to be a bit of a question mark. The pen overall has been good but they don't have enough power arms. The team needs to mix in VV some more out of the pen. The only power arms in the pen right now are Fields and VV. Gotta mix in more than the usual pitchers Hinch keeps throwing out there. And Hinch's insistence on using Sipp as a situational pitcher against lefties is stupid at this point. He has given up too many hits in big spots to be trusted in those situations.
There's a link up top on the right that says "Log Out". Click that, then it will take you to rep page.
Tough loss, but hopefully we take the next two and win the series. DBags have been playing really well as of late, and Gomez won't make that mistake again..hopefully.
1) If you will chill a little on the posts, you will be accepted pretty easily around here. Believe it or not, there are quite a few of us who are here every night. We don't usually all agree on stuff, but we don't over react. The ones that come in and over react to most stuff, and post random negative comments, over and over, tend to not be taken in well. But trust me, if you try to fit in, it's a good place 2) At the top of posts there are green + and - signs, click the + and you can rep someone 3) You have to be a contributing member to edit. It's pretty easy to contribute, and i'd suggest you do so None of that matters though if you want to just post outlandish crap
Thanks for the response. I say it in the heat of the moment as it happens. The fashion in which the game was lost... the Altuve stuff wasn't in clutch moments but even he got out twice on the ball hitting him running to 2nd and striking out cause his helmet wasn't on right. Then GG Gomez dropped a crucial catch. The Marwin getting tossed in the bottom of the 9th. I was upset in the moment. I didn't think a comment could receive so much backlash for not really attaching the team or plays but rather being made about the loss. It's whatever... people can hate me if they like. I know I made a lot of comments tonight but I think part of it is that I'm new. They don't even know me and I'm being told to leave. This is a team I've loved since I was 10 or 11 during Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on Super Nintendo and N64. I'm a huge fan but oh well. If I'm not liked, I'm not liked. Not worried about it.
Not really attacking the team or players*** I'm so used to posting and then editing quick to correct. I'll have to learn to check my post quick before posting here. Or like you said, contribute.
Over the past several years, there has probably only been about 10-12 of us that have regularly posted in the Astros forum. Times were tough being a fan then, but we followed the minors and would muster up enough comments for a couple of pages per series in the series threads. As the year went on last year and we got hot, quite a few more started posting. Some were annoying, but at least we had some company Of course this year after a couple of months, the forum blew up. Now that is great in many ways. BUT, there are a couple of people who came in here and were extremely annoying. I mean extremely annoying, bad enough that it was hard to go through the series threads without getting a little upset at all the crap they would post. One of those guys has actually toned it down a lot over the past week or so, and now his posts are replied to by many around here just as we would reply to others The last thing the core group here wants, is another crazy in the threads. So yea, it probably won't take much now to not be accepted. We want to have good series threads, and enjoy them. Now trust me, it's not all positive posts, not in any way. But like i said earlier, chill a little...or understand you wont' be accepted well
