That is terrible logic. 1B basically have to be bats like Goldschmidt or Cabrera to be anywhere near as valuable as other position players.
I agree and hope he isn't moved But it won't be a killer if he is. End of the day, he is still a prospect, and one that some of the "lists" still don't have as a top 100 overall. Try to keep him, but he shouldn't be a complete deal breaker

Yanks have allegedly backed out of all trade talks, will stand pat with the team they have. Their rotation suuuuuucks.
No ****. But Reed has been better than Goldschmidt, comparing their minor league track records. Or let me guess? You saw Goldschmidt becoming what he is now after 1 year in the minors?
Wonder what's involved and whose paying the contract? If the Tigers are, makes Adam Rubins defense of the Gomez no deal look dumb.
But they've had plenty of elite 1B prospects that they expected big things from: Daryle Ward Brett Wallace Jon Singleton
Again. No ****. Goldy is also a superior hitter RIGHT NOW. I'm saying that Reed, when comparing his first full year in the minors to Goldys, has been better. Forgive some of us fans that don't want to see that traded for a closer.
