That is terrible logic. 1B basically have to be bats like Goldschmidt or Cabrera to be anywhere near as valuable as other position players.

I agree and hope he isn't moved

But it won't be a killer if he is. End of the day, he is still a prospect, and one that some of the "lists" still don't have as a top 100 overall. Try to keep him, but he shouldn't be a complete deal breaker

    No ****.

But Reed has been better than Goldschmidt, comparing their minor league track records. Or let me guess? You saw Goldschmidt becoming what he is now after 1 year in the minors?

I'd play if I were Luhnow. Preller will probably lose.

Wonder what's involved and whose paying the contract? If the Tigers are, makes Adam Rubins defense of the Gomez no deal look dumb.

Yea, depending on next 10 minutes our rotation easily the best of the potential AL playoff teams

My god you guys overrate prospects, especially ones who have legit holes and questions.

But they've had plenty of elite 1B prospects that they expected big things from:
    Daryle Ward
    Brett Wallace
    Jon Singleton

Well obviously, because his last name isn't Goldschmidt

Pretty sure he isn't a top 5 bat in the game.

    Again. No ****.

Goldy is also a superior hitter RIGHT NOW. I'm saying that Reed, when comparing his first full year in the minors to Goldys, has been better. Forgive some of us fans that don't want to see that traded for a closer.
