I really hope not unless it is in a deal for a cost controlled SP (Ross or Carrasco are the only options). Otherwise, dangle Appel as the centerpiece.

Yea i'd be ok with Vince in a deal for Ross as he would at least replace his spot for a few years, and is more of a sure thing.
That bobblehead is hilarious, by the way. Never seen one that looks less like the player. I stared at it for a few minutes trying to convince myself of any shred of resemblance.
I know this is kind of a stupid reason But I really wanted Carter gone somehow today and Singleton to remain unless we were using Singleton in a deal to add a major piece Singleton has been even worse than Carter, but it seems like he "fits in" with the aura of the team a little better than Carter. Don't want the "good" chemistry messed with any more than absolutely necessary
Yep. The best ones I've seen are Kuechel's and Harden/Dwight (it must be easier to make a "beard" bobble-head). I think Biggio's is made from recycled Nolan Ryan ones.

Probably And in the end, if that was the cost for Chapman and we weren't adding anything else significant, i'd do the deal and give us the best possible chance to win it all this year and next Would rather move Appel even if it meant adding some other depth prospects One more thing to remember on all of this, if we add a controllable piece and he leaves in 2/3 years, we will get a comp pick in return

WHOSE IT GOING TO BE?!? I guessed Bruce and Chapman via Reds. Bruce isn't in lineup currently which is strange considering he is tearing it up this month.
So...they are reporting it's more likely Chapman heads to Houston than New York. Then you have Kimbrel and New York going no where. Let's just get both of 'em. To heck with our farm system. Chapman in the 8th, Kimbrel in the 9th.
I'm guessing Bruce to the Mets, he just makes no sense here, unless he can play 1B and we just don't know it
Don't know if reliable but...

Hearing Astros are VERY close to a deal w/the Padres for closer Craig Kimbrel.
