    Pancakes is more useful than Drellich. If the Astros are going to splurge, they likely have a bigger long term plan in play than just the next two years.

    That rebuild got you Correa, Altuve, Keuchel, Tucker, Springer, Gomez, Kazmir (who will probably resign with his 0.202567 July ERA), etc. etc.

    And more with the added players from this amazing draft class.

    Some fans need to take a breather and look at the standings. Can't be bottom feeders forever. Sheesh.

    Exactly, the Cards have built an impressive pipeline of talent and they never draft high. The farm can be restocked if you continue to draft wisely.

    That's a major overpay. VV could turn into a great closer on his own. They need more than just Kimbrel back if they are jettisoning their controllable high end pitching depth.

    Now if Ross is the next added piece then how much more would be willing to offer?

    I say that's when we throw in ML talent. Carter, Marwin, more prospects.

    I think this will be a massive trade.
