Marisnick is a better fielder than Gomez..... There have been very few defensive center fielders than Marisnick.
agreed. I wonder what the plan is with Feldman. Trade on the horizon? Or is McHugh on the move maybe?
Fiers will probably replace Feldman and move McHugh down to the 5th spot, where he belongs. Feldman is not apart of the Astros' future anyway.
sucks for either of them, if that's the case. gonna be the one guy (besides hernandez), who has gone through this much of the season, then doesn't get to finish out the fun.

I dont want Feldman or McHugh starting in the playoffs, but Feldman gets based more than he should in this board. I'm not saying he's a stud--he's not. But he's not trash. 3.7 ERA last year, and he was great in KC in his first start off the DL. Outside of a couple bad starts, Feldman was a QS machine before his injury. McHugh is the opposite of consistent. It's a toss up between the two, but its closer than people give Feldman credit for.
IMO he's better and should be the #4 over McHugh. I'm not a fan of McHugh whatsoever. When post-season hits (if we make it) I will cringe at the thought of him pitching in a game 4. If our bats haven't been carrying the guy.... he would be a 10 loss pitcher.
If we know one thing about the Astros it's that they aren't scared to call off a deal due to a failed physical. If he passed, we think he's good to go.
It's fine to not like him. And a lot can happen between now and the playoffs But to say the bats just carried him or he would be a 10 loss pitcher Before being bad two nights ago (when the offense did carry him), he has 7 straight starts of 3 runs or less. Only one of those games was less than a full 6 innings and went 7 + in four of them He isn't what we saw last year, but he hasn't been terrible as you say
Yea, but I doubt they do that by replacing him in the rotation like they did with VV. I think it's more likely they limit his innings per start, and maybe skip him with days off, things like that. Just my guess

Marisnick more than likely, but he will still get playing time. Having the depth we have is a good commodity.
