Singleton starts putting together good at bats and gets benched. Id rather see him in there instead of Valbuena if we must start Karter against the lefty.
Interesting to play Carter over Singleton, vs the RHP, after Singleton had the nice game last night I'm not the biggest on playing Singleton a lot right now, but Carter has nice game and sits, then Singleton has a nice game and sits vs a RHP Its always easy to second guess lineups, just kind of weird
For some reason I thought we were facing a lefty tonight. Even more reason for Big Jon to be in the lineup.

I would've also preferred to see Singleton in there instead of Carter. We need one of them to get it going with some kind of consistency, and the only way that's going to happen is playing time.
I agree. Just let Valbuena sit and have the young player try to replicate what he did thd night before.
I think there's a pretty good chance. Wouldn't make much sense to bench him after he finally has a good stretch
Damn it. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Mike Trout back in the lineup, playing center field.</p>— Alden Gonzalez (@Alden_Gonzalez) <a href="https://twitter.com/Alden_Gonzalez/status/626852335503974403">July 30, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
As mentioned, Im sure Singleton is getting benched in the event a trade is made. What's interesting is that Carter is the DH and Valbuena is playing 1st. I guess that shows how much they care for Carter's defense.
Only other possibility is they are leaving themselves flexible if Lowrie's uncomfortable at 3rd to switch him and Valbuena around. Is that a stretch?
Has Valbuena played much at 1b? I would think that if they were worried about Lowrie, they'd put Marwin at 1b since he's played both positions.
