Right, we disagree on Singleton. You like him a lot, I want someone consistent to help us more right now.

Revere is a lot better than Marisnick although Jake is 3 years younger and could still improve. If we could get Revere and clean up some 40 man space/Rule V issues at the same time, it would be the right move

Think that would be a good add.

He would definitely help us this year. And if guys like Phillips, Santana, Fisher, or whoever showed they were obviously better at some point, he would be easy to move

The reason i like Marisnick more than Revere is power, i think he can develop power and hit 10-12 homers, and has the same speed as Revere on base. I know Revere can play defense, but watching Marisnick daily, i doubt he is better than Marisnick in cf, plus, we have Marisnick until 2021. I think we have a guy with great defense, 20 to 30 steals, and 10 to 15 homers, with superb defense in centerfield. Revere is going to have a good average, but very low walk total, and no power.
I do like Revere, but i like Marisnick potential even more. And right now, i think he is good enough to help us win some games. Now, the problem is Marisnick can't hit lefties, because he is having a very very very good year vs righties. When he learns to hit that change up, he is going to be much better than Revere.

    McCullers has a violent arm.

That thing has torn UCL all over it.

Do pitchers these days transfer to a TJ surgery before its needed just to get the more durable ligament in there.

Almost sounds like the smart thing to do with the rate these things occur.

Most guys are back tossing the ball a little bit harder than Pre Surgery.

You might be right, but i'm much more worried about this year than you are I think.

I don't see a dominant team in the AL right now. I want us to do anything possible to win this year. If that means trading for Revere, and Jake gets less playing time right now but would still be around, that is great. I want to win NOW. This year. NOW

As many TJ surgeries as you do see today, still a very large majority of pitchers never tear their UCL. I would definitely not assume a torn UCL for a guy who has never had serious arm issues (that I know of)

I am over exaggerating a bit, but the TJ surgery is also more prevalent in guys like McCullers and Velasquez who have power arms.

I always find it interesting when guys come back and throw harder. They install a leg ligament if I am not mistaken.

The majority of UCL surgeries do not result in a pitcher coming back more effective than before. I can't find the article but ESPN did a study before the season highlighting that the success rate and frequency were both not what people predominantly thought.

SD just exploded on the Mets in the top of the 9th after a long rain delay

Heck of a way to go out if they do indeed break up the team

Kimbrel better not get hurt in bottom 9

So what will it take to bring Upton, Ross and Kimbrel to Astros?

    Upton with the bomb

There's another rain delay I think. Maybe Kimbrel gets traded before bottom 9? :p
