I don't feel Dmo has that Hollywood personality Parsons has. I doubt Dmo gets a max offer and I doubt he is just after money like Parsons.
DMo said he loves basketball and always loved it, and he specifically wanted Houston to draft him. Im pretty sure he would agree to pay cut, if he can play/train with people he likes with.

I disagree that he will take a significant pay cut or any pay cut at all. He is still on his rookie contract and is due for a pay raise.
Most people will turn down one job offer because another one gives them a couple thousand more. Now, you are saying he would take a paycut into the MILLIONS just for the sake of staying in Houston? Nope. He would feel disrespected by the franchise and go where they would give him loads more cash and a prominent role in the offense. Remember, these athletes know they have a limited amount of time they can play and make huge amounts of money. If DMo continues having back problems or other physical issues he might never make the money he could make in his next contract. Just like Melo, take the money and if not happy, try to get traded. All things being equal DMo would most likely stay in Houston but lots of things can be different. Money, teammates, coaching, location, national media exposure, etc, etc. He may love Houston but if all the factors don't add up he won't stay. Gotta make it worth his time and it has to be worth the Rockets time too. First and foremost, NBA is a business. Always will be. Olympics is for the love of the game/country, not the NBA and other professional leagues.
What is there to worry about regarding DMo and his next contract? 1. If he turns in a great season Morey will give him the Max 2. If he turns in a decent season Morey will match whatever offer is thrown his way...within reason (see: Parsons, Chandler) Either way we're going to keep this guy unless there's some crazy offer out there that screams "Pack your bags because DMo you're done-zo in Houston."
Very dependent on the durant sweepstakes I assume it would be very hard to keep dmo and durant even though I still think dura the is a bit of a long shot.
Does DMO have any say next summer? lets say team A offers him XXXX contract and key role, Rockets match it, but team C offers the max. Or you can't offer anything to a player that's already been matched by his current team? Or lets say team A offers 20 million, team B offers 17 million, Rockets don't offer anything. Does he have to take 20 million or can he chose?
He's restricted so that means we can match any offer and he doesn't have a say same situation as parsons.
Agreed, once again. Harden was a 17-4-4 guy himself in OKC due to KD/Westbrook dominating the ball. He didn't make that much of a leap (if any to be honest) in skill from his last season in OKC until his debut season in Houston. It's just USAGE.
He's definitely going to need to average more than 12 pts, 5.9 rebounds and 0.4 blocks a game to get a max offer this up coming season IMO. With Lawson now on the team all the big's should prosper and that should help DMO's post ups ect.
