Like so many other Windows apps, its missing tons of features. Lyft doesn't even exist on Windows Phone which is irritating because I usually use Lyft over Uber for rides.
I love my 1520 hardware also . It has survived several drops without a case that have shattered iphones before The software seems buggier, though.
I'll admit I'm a bit superficial in this matter and ruggedness is not my only criteria for 'best hardware'. Aesthetically, the iPhone 6 is the most pleasing device to hold. It feels the most premium. Unfortunately i'm not a fan of iOS.
Yeah I have to say my Lumia has been to hell and back for over two years and still works just fine. No cracks at all. The Nokia build quality is real.
Unbelievably two days later I dropped the damn thing from about six feet while carry a few things and it smashed and is history. Had insurance but the MS Store could only replace with the MS 640 xl (I like a bigger phone).
So, there's this phone that was just launched on Kickstarter: <iframe width="480" height="360" src="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ubik1/ubik-uno-solid-performance-smartphone-at-unbeatabl/widget/video.html" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"> </iframe> If you go to the Kickstarter page you can see the specs as compared with the One Plus 2. It's cheaper, thinner, has NFC, expandable storage, and a 20MP camera. But it also doesn't have a fingerprint sensor. If the campaign succeeds, then it will go into production and ship in September. What do you guys think?
Looks even better than the HTC M9, lololol. Which is a phone that I'm stuck with for a long time. God why didn't I just become a sheep and get the Iphone like everyone else?
Rumors circling of a Surface phone. Just want an OEM phone that will last longer than a year. The Surface line is some amazing forward thinking hardware. Been an Android user forever (since G1) but this 8 or 9 month spot where my phone essentially craps the bed is annoying. Wouldn't mind paying more for it (1k+) but these Apple and Samsung phones are just...not cutting it.
The Intel powered windows phone with continuum sounds great. Laptop/desktop when I need it, phone when I want it.
So I accidentally took my iphone 5s into the pool this weekend and its kaput. I'm not eligible for a discounted upgrade with AT&T for another year. Any ideas on how to get a cheap smart phone until my upgrade comes back around? Some have mentioned buying an AT&T iphone on eBay. Whenever I do a search, half the listing just look scummy - but maybe I'm just being paranoid?
You should check out craigslist if you are up for it. Also, i'd recommend getting another iphone as they hold their resale value pretty well and will sell very quick. If you play your cards right, you could end up essentially "renting" a phone for $20-30 until your upgrade
give Swappa a try, I've bought phones off there no problem http://swappa.com/ ATT Locked iPhone 5 and below going for $190 or less
